For the first time in four years, multi-awarding international icon and Latin singer, songwriter, actor and record producer, Enrique Iglesias returned to Manchester Arena to perform all his hits at his Live world tour and what a show it was. Enrique first apologised to all his fans as the last time he was set to perform in Manchester, the show was cancelled due to illness. Enrique professes how he has missed his Manchester fan base and how happy he is to have finally returned. However, the Latin icon more than made up for his absence by kicking off the show with his brand new single “Move to Miami” ft Pitbull which had all the crowd up on their feet from the second he landed on the stage.
The full set list included both English and Spanish tracks (See below for full details) and a multitude of props and special effects with him even getting a member of the public on to the stage for his classic swooner “Hero”.
Enrique Iglesias has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, released ten studio albums plus two greatest hits compilations. Undeniably the biggest Latin recording artist in music history. Enrique Iglesias enlisted the voice of the 90’s Beverley Knight to warm up the crowd which she did astoundingly. The pair had the crowd roaring and boy did we know it was a Friday night.
Since hitting our UK charts in 1999 with Bailamos at #4, from the soundtrack of the Will Smith Movie Wild Wild West, Enrique Iglesias continues to be one of the most successful artists in modern music and has been celebrated with just about every award an artist can receive including multiple Grammys, Billboard Awards, World Music Awards, American Music Awards, Premios Juventud, ASCAP honours and BMI honors and many more totaling over 200.
Enrique Iglesias never let anything deter his attention from his attending fans, Enrique was extremely interactive with the crowd and quite the showman.
Since becoming a father to twins Nicholas and Lucy in 2017, to Russian Tennis player Anna Kournikova, Enrique professes that he is loving life as a father and doesn’t like to be away from home for more than 2 weeks at a time. Enrique says that a lot of his music is inspired by personal events in his life which I imagine doesn’t come as much of a surprise to his fans.
Enrique Iglesias will be continuing his tour throughout the remainder of 2018 and into 2019
landing in multiple venues across Europe, such as Bulgaria, Belgium, Amsterdam, France,
Germany, Poland and ending it in Switzerland. If you can manage to get across to any of
these venues to see him play, I can guarantee you would not be disappointed.
